As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you are a mentor, an advocate, and a friend. You’ll help people reach their personal goals, from learning new skills to participating in the community.
What you’ll do
- Be a Mentor & Friend - Support individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and dreams.
- Explore the Community - Support individuals with transportation to dining, shopping, and fun community events.
- Empower Independence - Help with and coach daily living skills that turn "I can't" into "I just did"
- Be a Partner in Daily Life - Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
- Provide Safe Care - Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation of progress and well-being
Requirements
Who You Are
- You have a huge heart and even more patience.
- You’re a problem-solver who stays calm when things get unpredictable.
- You're at least 18 years old.
- You’re reliable. The people we support count on you to show up and be your best self.
- You have a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, car insurance, and ability to pass a background check.
