Job Summary: The Yard Lumber and Building position is primarily responsible for loading and unloading deliveries in the yard and assisting customers in the yard as needed.
 
Pay for this role: $16.00 - $18.00 an hour depending on experience. 
 
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Stage loads for delivery or will call (accurately pull correct products from picking ticket).
  • Load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner, according to company procedures/protocols.
  • Follow all safety procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to them as well.
  • Put away products in proper bin locations.
  • Help customers in the yard as needed.
  • Work well with others.
  • Build lumber packs in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Willing to work occasional overtime as needed.
      Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
      • Prior knowledge of lumber and building materials.
      • Become forklift certified.
      • Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Available for occasional overtime. 
      • Must be able to lift 60 lbs and have the ability to stand or walk for an extended period of time up to 8-10 hours a day.
      • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
      • Ability to perform basic math skills.
      • Ability to follow directions and take initiative.
      • Honest, dependable, and demonstrates a high level of integrity; strong organizational and customer service skills.
      • Works well in a team environment and supports a positive workplace culture.
