Position Summary:

The Vendor Development Manager is responsible for growing the Pax8 line card, globally. They assist with vendor research, recruiting, evaluation, forecasting and acquisition.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Research, prospect, and respond to vendor
  • Present the Pax8 Story and value prop to prospective vendors to gain buy-in and alignment;
  • Negotiate business terms and market development funds (MDF) to achieve the best possible outcome for Pax8 and the vendor.
  • Create vendor and product forecasts for Pax8 leadership.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to internal groups for product and vendor launches.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to gain product insights and feedback.
  • Conduct product and technical evaluation of a vendor’s products and services.
  • Document and maintain vendor acquisition tracking in Wrike.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least five (5) years of sales experience selling technical products
  • At least three (3) years of account management experience working with managed service providers (MSPs) vendors
  • Strong sales acumen with proven track record of success.
  • Deep understanding of how technology solves the problems of small or medium-sized businesses (SMB) who are supported by outsourced IT providers
  • Business negotiation skills
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive management
  • Ability to collaborate, build networks, and drive engagement across functional teams
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Required Education Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Current technical certification in at least one of the Pax8 tech categories preferred

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $90,675 or more depending on experience

Remote *Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
