Position Summary:

As a Research Operations Manager, you are passionate about user research and creating a culture of empathy and innovation. The UX Research department is growing In size and demand, and you’d be helping us scale our research capabilities and impact. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing research activities that support the design and development of our cloud marketplace platform. You will work closely with UX researchers, designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that research insights are effectively communicated and implemented across the product lifecycle. You will also help establish and maintain research best practices, processes, and tools that enable the UX team to deliver high-quality research outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a research operations framework that supports the participant recruitment, scheduling, participant panel management, and distribution of user research reports across the department
  • Proactively identify, build, and streamline processes that result in efficient research operations
  • Develop and manage participant panel growth strategies  
  • Develop and implement best practices, processes, documentation, and tools for conducting user research, such as recruitment, consent, data management, processes, reporting, and archiving
  • Manage and maintain the research participant database and ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies
  • Manage and maintain licenses and software from the UXR and UXD departments
  • Coordinate and schedule research activities, such as research brief intake meetings, interviews, surveys, usability tests, and workshops
  • Collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their research needs and goals
  • Assist the UX Design with relevant operational practices that mirrors processes set up for UXR
  • Maintain tight communication with team members to relay status of requests
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot recruitment challenges as they arise
  • Determine the best possible recruitment source for a given study
  • Establish best practices for participant recruitment

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • 1-2 years of experience with coordination, scheduling and managing of internal and external resources , project management, or similar role
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to grow SQL skills.
  • Preferred familiarity with UXR methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
  • Experience directly communicating with customers, end users, and/or study participants
  • Experience with cloud solutions, SaaS, or B2B products is a plus 

Required Education Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience

Compensation: Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $74,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
