About the Position:
Duties
What You'll Do:
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of fifteen (15) water department maintenance personnel.
- Plan, coordinate, implement and review a variety of maintenance, repair, and reconstruction activities in area of assignment.
- Inspect the work of crews in progress and upon completion.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for assigned programs and functions.
- Answer questions and provide information to the public.
- Participate in the development and administration of the department’s annual budget.
- Supervise the maintenance of time, material and equipment use records.
- Participate in the full range of operations, maintenance, repair, and construction duties including to perform the most difficult duties assigned to the work unit.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of public works facilities including one (1) year of administrative or lead supervisory responsibility.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by specialized training in maintenance, construction or a related field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire, Collections and Distribution IV Certificate issued by the State of Colorado.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license.
