Job Description:

Salida Montessori Charter School is seeking a full-time Assistant Toddler Guide (ages 1–3) to join our dedicated team beginning August 2026.

At Salida Montessori Charter School, we believe even our youngest learners are capable, curious, and eager to explore the world around them. The Assistant Toddler Guide will work collaboratively with the Lead Guide to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment that fosters independence, confidence, and joy in learning.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work cohesively with the Lead Guide to prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly Montessori classroom

  • Support toddlers (ages 1–3) in developing independence, language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth

  • Help create a space of excitement and enthusiasm for learning

  • Maintain a safe, warm, and responsive classroom environment

  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with families and staff

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with toddlers or in early childhood settings preferred

  • Understanding of or willingness to learn Montessori philosophy and practices

  • Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit

  • Commitment to professional growth

  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements for early childhood staff

Benefits:
