Job Type: Seasonal, Hourly

Wage: $17/hr.

Location: Mesa, CO.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for processing ticket sales and season pass orders, focusing on exceptional customer service & safety.

             

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Processes customer lift ticket sales.
  • Takes season pass orders and customer profile pictures.
  • Receives payment, issues change, and receipts for lift ticket, season pass, and retail orders by cash, check, or credit/debit card.
  • Communicates with supervisor on refunds, credits, or discounts due to customer.
  • Ensures that cash register has adequate cash/change available; notifies supervisor in advance of cash/change shortfall.
  • Responsible for the security of the register; never leaves the register unattended when logged in, and never shares login information with others.
  • Balance and reconcile daily deposit sheets with supervisor.
  • Maintain and balance sales/cash drawer.
  • Record and reconciles ticket, season pass, and retail transactions.

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS: 

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE/GUEST RELATIONS: 

  • Key public interaction position. Develop and maintain positive public perception of the department/company.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong communication ability (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to perform basic financial transactions, including counting money and making change.
  • Honest, friendly, and enthusiastic customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle large groups, adults, children, and special needs visitors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and positive attitude in all interactions.
  • Ability to learn/use company-provided software.

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION 

Must be 18+ years old for cash handling.

 

EXPERIENCE

Previous guest services or sales experience preferred, not required.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

 Will work alone or with others. Must navigate uneven terrain to and from the Ticket Office.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with the general public.  Must be physically capable of ascending and descending stairs, and to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, lift at least 30 lbs., negotiate slippery surfaces, uneven and rocky terrain, and tolerate warmer temperatures.

 

ATTENDANCE: 

 This position requires the ability to maintain flexibility in a work schedule, which will include weekends and holidays. The Ticket Office is open 7 days a week from 08:30am-4:00pm during Winter Season, and Thursdays & Friday from 10:30am-4:30pm (through August) and Saturdays & Sundays from 9:30am-4:30pm during bike season.
