Job Description:

At Pax8, we make the cloud easier for our partners. As a Technical Onboarding Manager, you will be the trusted guide who helps new partners get up and running smoothly on the Pax8 Marketplace and our technical integrations. What you will do

Lead an excellent partner onboarding experience (around half of your time)

  • Guide new partners, and existing partners adopting new Pax8 services, through a fast and effective onboarding journey.
  • Provide hands-on onboarding support, education, and training that accelerates adoption and reduces time to value.
  • Learn about each partner’s environment, goals, and technical needs, and tailor the onboarding process to help them succeed.
  • Anticipate and resolve challenges with integrations, data migration, account setup, and marketplace navigation before they become obstacles.
  • Point partners to the right Pax8 programs, resources, and best practices that align with their objectives and deepen their experience with Pax8.
Shape the way we measure and improve onboarding (about a quarter of your time)
  • Help build and refine clear onboarding playbooks, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Use project management approaches and thoughtful automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability in onboarding.
  • Track onboarding success through surveys, partner feedback, and adoption metrics, and share insights with sales and business leaders.
  • Support the partner journey by focusing on driving adoption, playing a key role in expansion, and contributing to long-term renewals through excellent onboarding and growth support.
Build strong relationships and seamless hand-offs (about a quarter of your time)
  • Act as a trusted technical guide during onboarding, working closely with Sales, Partner Success, and Support to meet partner needs.
  • Ensure smooth, well-timed hand-offs to internal teams once onboarding is complete, so partners experience a continuous, connected journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to handle escalations and recommend improvements that enhance the partner onboarding experience.
  • Advocate for new partners by gathering feedback and using it to improve tools, processes, and enablement content over time.

What you bring

  • Around three or more years of experience in a technical onboarding, implementation, customer success, or solutions consulting role within software as a service, cloud, or marketplace environments.
  • Strong understanding of integrations, data migration, and account setup processes, and confidence guiding partners through technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with managed service provider businesses and the tools partners commonly use to run their operations.
  • Experience delivering training to both technical and non-technical audiences, explaining complex concepts in a simple and engaging way.
  • Ability to track onboarding metrics, interpret partner feedback, and use data to improve processes.
  • Comfort working closely with Sales, Partner Success, Support, and Operations teams to create a seamless experience for partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on building trust and strong relationships with both partners and internal stakeholders.
  • A habit of identifying process gaps, suggesting improvements, and helping design scalable onboarding solutions.
