Position Summary:

The SVP of Talent Development is responsible for building and implementing strategies and actions to ensure we continue to develop and grow exceptional talent throughout the Pax8 employee journey. The ideal candidate has strong experience building talent development and management strategies in a holistic, inclusive, global and agile way. Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this person will lead the Talent Development organization in designing and delivering solutions and programs to create long-term career opportunities for our employees while building a diverse pipeline of future leaders.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

1. Strategy Team Management

  • Develop and lead the talent development strategy for Pax8
  • Partner closely with leaders and teams across Pax8
  • Foster a positive and values-driven team culture that will motivate and inspire the team and create a shared vision for the function

2. Organizational Effectiveness

  • Centralized thought leadership in organizational design, organizational health, strategic talent planning, partners across the People Org team to enable solutions
  • Build programs to drive effective teaming

3. Career Development

  • Create a framework for career pathing and competencies at all levels
  • Own centralized strategy processes for career development strategy, partner with TA and People Ops Business Partners to action
  • Partner with department heads to drive effective mentoring, shadowing and coaching programs
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify development opportunities

4. Executive Development

  • Build and execute strategy for leadership manager development, including competencies, frameworks and learning paths
  • Develop a holistic executive talent review and succession planning strategy, in partnership with Total Rewards and People Ops
  • Support Pax8’s executive team development and cohesion

5. Learning

  • Design and deliver employee learning programs at all levels (individual contributors, managers, and leaders)

6. Technology Enablement

  • Establish metrics to evaluate the impact and success of talent development programs and adjust strategy based on insights
  • Own the Talent Development technology strategy work closely with tech teams to implement

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Expertise in building and executing holistic talent development strategies
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion Intellectual curiosity with the ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems
  • Effective at building relationships with and influencing senior leadership
  • Analytical sensibility with the ability to translate data into meaningful and actionable insights
  • Passion for and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment, working closely with partners at all levels across various functions of the organization
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams
  • Exceptional presence to positively represent Pax8 both internally and externally
  • Ability to operate with a high sense of urgency and ownership

Required Education Certifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in talent development or equivalent
  • 10+ years of people management experience
  • Experience creating and implementing programs focused on the development of employees

Work Environment: Professional office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, printers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands: Sedentary role; primarily involves sitting/standing

Travel Requirements: Infrequent travel is expected

Compensation: Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $225,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
