Job Type: Part time, Hourly

Wage: $28-$42/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

The facility specializes in Bariatric Surgery/Weight Loss Surgery, Eye Procedures, General Surgery, GI procedures, Podiatry, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Pain Management

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently searching for a part time Surgical Technician available to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively in the OR and GI Lab with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify operations of the equipment to ensure in good working order.
  • Assist with position and preparation of the patient.
  • Prepare surgical suite with instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
  • Account for number and location of instruments and supplies.
  • Receive and process specimens
  • Sterile processing of equipment
  • Assist with supply inventory

Requirements:

Minimum Experience:

  • Graduate of a Surgical Tech program or 6 months of surgical tech experience.
  • State Surgical Tech registration
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex and at times stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner.
  • Must be able to work well with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
