Wage: $14.12-$21.32/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Positive individual with neat, clean appearance; pleasant, courteous demeanor.
- Proven work record demonstrating reliability, flexibility and initiative.
- Ability to comply with all State, Federal, Colorado Department of Education and School District policy regulating transportation
- Ability and demeanor to instruct and control large groups of children or special needs children while safely driving a vehicle.
- Knowledge of discipline strategies preferred
- Have good communication skills
- Able to pass written tests and First Aid course
- Must pass extensive background check
- Must have a clean driving record
- Able to pass CDOT physical including drug test
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Operate assigned school vehicle in compliance with procedures contained in the District’s policy and procedures, including all local, state and federal laws.
- Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.
- Maintains student conduct to insure the safety of all students.
- Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.
- Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.
- Promote good feelings and high morale within the School District by maintaining a positive relationship with co-workers and other District employees
- Administers first aid as necessary.
- Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.
HOURS: Mornings and afternoons, hours vary
SALARY:
- Salary according to the Classified Salary Schedule
- Benefits according to the classified handbook
