Job: Substitute Bus Driver

Full Time
Pay: $14.12-$21.32/hr.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the District’s policy and procedures, including all local, state and federal laws
- Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle
- Maintains student conduct to insure the safety of all students
- Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner
- Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state
- Promote good feelings and high morale within the School District by maintaining a positive relationship with co-workers and other District employees
- Administers first aid as necessary
- Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities
Qualifications:
- Must have a CDL P2S Class B License or obtain when hired (the school district provides training)
- Positive individual with neat, clean appearance; pleasant, courteous demeanor
- Proven work record demonstrating reliability, flexibility and initiative
- Ability to comply with all State, Federal, Colorado Department of Education and School District policy regulating transportation
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability and demeanor to instruct and control large groups of children or special needs children while safely driving a bus
- Knowledge of discipline strategies preferred
- Have good communication skills
- Able to pass written tests and First Aid course
- Must pass extensive background check
- Must have a clean driving record
- Able to pass CDOT physical including drug test
