Job Type: Full time, Salaried
Wage: $100,000-$120,000/yr.
Location: Buena Vista, CO.
Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design, construction, program modifications, or structural repairs.
- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Evaluate technical data to determine effect on designs or plans.
- Analyze operational data to evaluate operations, processes or products.
- From knowledge set inform operational methods
- Explain engineering drawings, specifications, or other technical information.
- Estimate technical or resource requirements for development or production projects.
- Monitor processes for compliance with standards.
- Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.
- Review details of technical drawings or specifications
- Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
- Work to understand the scope and requirements of each assignment to assure timely deliverables exceed expectations.
- Perform structural analysis, design and documentation of buildings, site structures, architectural features and complex projects involving interdisciplinary project teams.
- Develop structural designs for structures of various materials that experience multiple loading conditions that could include extreme loading (high wind, heavy snow, high seismic, blast, progressive collapse, etc.)
- Revise, review, and coordinate construction documents (drawings and specifications) to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate the work of CAD/Structural techs, interns and junior staff assigned to the project.
- Sign of on logged hours for drafting and engineering team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AutoCAD REVIT preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- A master’s degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Detailed knowledge of Building Codes
REQUIREMENTS
- Professional Engineer License required
- This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-compete and non-disclosure agreement
- Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
- Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
- May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology
COMPENSATION
● Rate Range: $100,000 to $120,000 per/ year (Rate commensurate with experience)
● Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
