Location: Buena Vista, CO.

The retail pharmacy experience is broken. Nearly every pharmacy is a nightmare to wait in lines, understand the prescription process, get the correct copay information, and coordinate with doctors — and worst of all, they all fail to focus on the customer as family. At Salida Pharmacy Fountain and Buena Vista Drug, we’re doing something different. We’re building a pharmacy experience for the patient as an individual, not just for another number. At our pharmacy we focus on wellness and work to empower our patients to spend more time living a healthy life so they spend less time visiting their doctors and pharmacy. We also strive to expand the practice of community pharmacy so pharmacists and technicians can practice at the top of their training. We work with enough staff to make this experience a positive one for both the customer and the employee.

We are looking for a great pharmacist who loves helping our customers live their best life and do more than just filling and dispensing medications. You should enjoy making complicated situations simple and painless and have a passion for our mission in changing the pharmacy experience and provide better access to care in our community.

Located in Chaffee County, Colorado this position offers a great way to get involved in a rural mountain town, help improve the health of our community, and live in one of the best areas to experience and take in the beautiful Colorado mountain scenery.

We are looking for someone with part-time or full-time availability including some Saturdays and the ability to work at either location. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM-12:00PM.

Immediate Supervisor: Pharmacy Manager

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures

2. Service and satisfy customers’ health care needs in and out of the pharmacy area

3. Maintain professional rapport with ordering physicians

4. Process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner utilizing Pioneer Rx pharmacy system.

5. Provide vaccines, point of care tests, and state wide protocol counseling and prescribing.

6. Provide counseling and guidance to staff as needed

7. Maintain required reports

8. Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations

9. Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy,
• Vaccination Certification

Experience:

• One year Pharmacist experience preferred.
• Point of Care Testing preferred but not required

Other Requirements:

Valid Colorado Pharmacist License

Equipment Operated: PioneerRx pharmacy system, pill counting machines, computers, standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax machines.

Work Environment: This position is in a fast paced, retail pharmacy environment.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves standing and walking 90% of the time.'
