Salary: The Instructional Support Salary Schedule determines pay for this position based on years of experience and education. The minimum pay is $17.34-$18.38 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: AA Degree or the equivalent of two years of undergraduate college classes (approximately 48 credit hours).
- 3+ years of experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 2.5 to 5) with developmental delays, disabilities, or challenging behaviors preferred.
- Experience supporting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) is preferred but not required.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training is preferred, but not required.
- Interested staff without previous behavior-based training must be willing to learn ABA strategies through the district’s Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Strong preference for experience in early childhood education and knowledge of child growth and development.
- Familiarity with Creative Curriculum and TS Gold is a plus.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a preschool environment with staff members, students, parents, and the public.
- Competency in reading, writing, and following instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment physical.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License and ability to drive between sites.
- May be required to obtain a substitute license and fill in as a substitute when needed.
POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE
- Support the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the guidance of certified staff.
- Paraprofessional will report to the BCBA and certified special education staff.
- Demonstrate reliability and consistency in all work situations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and workspace.
- Foster positive relationships with peers, students, parents, and the community.
- Stay focused on tasks and consistently produce high-quality work.
- Model and uphold the District’s Mission and Belief Statements.
- Assist in implementing schedules, routines, and management plans in 1-to-1, small group, or full classroom settings under the direction of the supervising teacher.
- Meet the educational, physical, and emotional needs of assigned students.
- Proficiently use basic technology as required to communicate and perform tasks effectively.
- Support with supervisory, clerical, or other job-related duties as assigned.
- Work with students who have multiple disabilities and significant needs.
- Provide supervision outdoors, including during inclement weather, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; feel or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, waist to overhead, waist to floor and overhead to floor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a school setting. Travel from site to site may occasionally; be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment ranges is generally quiet with occasional increase when working events or with equipment. Classroom and 1:1 setting as well as possible outside supervisory duties in inclement weather. Must be able to work in person.
Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to analyze and compute. Frequently required to compare, communicate, coordinate, instruct, evaluate, use interpersonal skills and compile. Occasionally required to copy, synthesize and negotiate.
