Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $24-$29/hr. 

Location: Buena Vista, CO.

Job Description

The unique value that the construction division Site Crew Lead brings to the team is that they are main drivers for project completion on development sites. This individual has the knowledge and skill to not only complete a wide variety of home finishing tasks, but also can lead and teach a team of employees to complete tasks. The ideal candidate owns each project, is willing to “fill the gaps” that get in the way of project completion, works well with other team leaders, and is excited to continually do work better and more efficient every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and motivate a team of laborers to perform construction tasks to complete modular homes on-site.
  • Tasks can include but are not limited to:
    • Drywall patching and repair.
    • Painting and Caulking
    • Trim Carpentry
    • Cabinet adjustment/installation
    • Baseboard and casing installation
    • Shelving installation
    • Door adjustments and hanging
    • Basic carpentry
    • Various other home finishing tasks
  • Assist setting homes on foundations when homes arrive on site
  • Drive completion dates for homes and maintain targeted production schedule.
  • Delegate duties and direct tasks for site team members in order to complete all tasks on time.
  • Ensure team of direct reports are accurately categorizing task categories per job costing codes.
  • Teach, train, and guide direct reports on how to complete various tasks to Fading West quality standards.
  • Help foster a positive team culture day-to-day for all direct reports and co-workers
  • Manage tools and materials for all assigned scopes of work.
  • Manage basic level of employee issues and elevate as needed.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Assists other site crews as needed.
  • Follow, implement, and improve standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain willingness to contribute anywhere needed to advance the progress of Fading West Construction projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in drywall, painting and minor trim carpentry (door adjustments, baseboard/casing, shelving, cabinet adjustments/install)
  • Proven leadership/management experience
  • Experience in tool maintenance and safety practices
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver license.
  • Experience Operating heavy equipment preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

  • In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
  • This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-compete and non-disclosure agreement
  • Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
  • May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 75 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology

COMPENSATION

Rate Range: $24 - $29 / hour (Rate commensurate with experience) Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
