Position Summary:

The Senior QA Engineer I defines quality standards and metrics used in testing. They work with stakeholders and other QA Engineers to ensure consensus of metrics. The Engineer documents milestones and sets criteria to validate quality, ensuring that all development tasks meeting quality criteria.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Defines quality standards and metrics for current projects
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure the quality metrics are reviewed and agreed upon
  • Performs QA automation tasks with a high degree of programming and problem-solving skills
  • Ensures all QA team members are aware of quality standards and resolves any open/outstanding questions
  • Creates a list of QA milestones and checkpoints and sets measurable criteria to validate the quality on a timely basis
  • Defines processes for test plans and phases of the testing cycle for projects under their supervision
  • Ensures all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, execution, quality assurance, and defect tracking
  • Reviews quality standards for functional and automated testing, continually raising process standards with every project
  • Participates in on-call rotations

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

· At least five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience

· Knowledge of defect tracking tools

· Knowledge of Automation processes and principles

· Experience using CI Tools including Jenkins and GitHub

· Knowledge of database management tools

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work independently as a member of the Engineering team

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Required Education Certifications:

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $100,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
