The ideal candidate will provide security services in collaboration with HRRMC Security Supervisor to augment the 24/7 culture of security in the Emergency Department. In addition this role creates emergency accounts, scanning necessary documentation i.e. orders, insurance cards, identification and other correspondence.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures, TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, and acknowledgement of policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. On-site timely response to an identified security risk/threat. Is able to de-escalate patients in crisis and/or presenting with aggressive cues. Maintains a high visibility presence.
2. Manages emergency or crisis situations
3. Greets patients, visitors, physicians and employees in a cordial and professional manner,
being as helpful as possible.
4. Answers telephone promptly, transfers calls to the correct extension and takes messages
when necessary. Practices telephone courtesy at all times, being as helpful as possible to the caller.
5. Is proficient in CPSI registration.
6. Collects, scans, and verifies insurance information.
7. Obtains appropriate consents signed by patient and/or appropriate individual for all services
being rendered.
