Basic Purpose of the Job
Under general supervision and direction from the Sports Program Coordinator, performs a variety of assigned duties and responsibilities involved in serving hot and cold snacks and beverages at a concession stand during scheduled Montrose Baseball games. Learns and adheres to safety standards.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Work under the general direction and guidance of the Sports Program Coordinator. Must be able to work under minimal supervision and exercise sound independent judgment.

Requires ability to perform light manual labor. Moderate physical work requiring ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; frequent lifting, carrying, walking and standing, hand/eye coordination. Occasional hand/eye coordination for operation of equipment; vision for reading and preparing written reports and documents; frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications with employees and citizens.
Inside work, with some exposure to outside elements. Requires driving and walking during inclement weather. The employee frequently is required to stand, reach, balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch. Frequent exposure to heat and cold, and occasional exposure to loud noise, cleaning chemicals and airborne particles.
Essential Function:

- Performs assigned duties to include hot and cold food preparation, cleanup, taking orders, and sales of other goods. Maintains accurate records and integrity in handling cash and accounts for all monies received. Helps to maintain inventory.
- Provides excellent customer service including resolving complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
- Follows food safety and preparation guidelines to protect customers from food borne related illness.
- Practices proper safety precautions related to all work performed. Must attend all mandatory trainings as required.

- Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak season.
- Ability to comply with safety standards.
Licensures & Certificates (must be active and current)
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Previous experience in a similar position preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation and cashiering preferred.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
