Start Date: July 31st for the 2025-2026 School Year

Position Type: Full-time, 169 days per year

Location: Lincoln School of Science and Technology 


Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the 169-day Teacher Salary Schedule, based on education and experience. Salary Range $45,168-$76,816.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher. 
  • Current Colorado Teaching License, art endorsement, or eligible to apply.
  • Successful experience teaching in PreK-12 public education.
  • Familiarity with basic art concepts.
  • Ability to employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to facilitate the student project process and/or Studio Habits of Mind Format.
  • Strong knowledge of literacy development, instructional programs and practices, and assessment. 
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment for elementary-aged children.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong collaboration skills 
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical.
  • Ability to read and write to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities. 
  • Possess skills to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.  
  • Integrity, trust, and work ethic are required to work with little supervision.
  • Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect district data's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts to the various district systems and applications.
  • Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel.
  • Follows all board policies for acceptable use of district technology.
  • Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Specific Needs for This Position:


Instructional Focus: This position supports science enrichment through creative design, engineering exploration, and cross-curricular integration. The ideal candidate will extend grade-level science standards using hands-on, inquiry-based learning and visual design.


Program Resources: Instruction will leverage a previously created scope & sequence based on existing school resources, including the on-site greenhouse, district science curriculum, and in partnership with our STEM Teacher.


Instructional Approach: Candidates must be skilled in blended learning, particularly station rotations, and comfortable facilitating open-ended experimentation and design challenges that encourage student agency and critical thinking.


Cross-Curricular Integration: Applicants should demonstrate the ability to intentionally connect science content with visual arts, literacy, and possibly other core subjects.

Teachers are held to high expectations for their performance to ensure the success of the individual and the District in serving students and the community. Teachers are held to the District’s Licensed Personnel Performance Evaluation System that consists of the State’s Quality Standards, elements, and performance indicators which point to fulfillment of the teaching responsibility. A teacher’s demonstrated effectiveness is based on the following standards:
