Wage: $64,959.80- $98,419.52/yr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for implementation of the school-based resource liaison program in the Cañon City RE-1 school district.  The primary role of this position is linking child and family servicing agencies through the schools to families in support of the student’s academic, emotional, behavioral and social success. Participates in suspension, truancy, expulsion and any other school or family meetings as requested.  Works closely with mental health and substance use providers to ensure the identified needs of the student or family are met and not duplicated.  Provides training and support to school district staff regarding services and support available in the community, referring and connecting youth and families to resources available.  Identifies and reports child abuse and neglect. In addition, this position will be a back-up trainer for parenting classes and will be available as a back-up in supervised parenting time when school is not in session.        

Qualifications:

Level IV:  Education and or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field.  Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques. Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development.  Minimum of one-year full time, paid experience obtained in a social services agency at a Case Worker III Level.

Additional Requirements:

Proof of valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition and liability insurance must be on file at all times.
