POSITION SUMMARY:

The Salida Day Program Manager is responsible for leading, supporting, and guiding a team of Direct Support Professionals who assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build connections in their communities. You will also be responsible for the daily operations of the day program, which includes Supported Employment, Supported Community Connections, and Supported Habilitation services. You will ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of services; interviewing, hiring, and training direct support professionals; attending team meetings to plan support for those receiving services. The Day Program Manager is responsible for coordinating collaborating with the Adult Services Director to create, organize and implement a Day Program curriculum using virtual learning, small groups, and one-on-one activities. The curriculum will include activities and classes related to the following areas: arts and crafts, motor/sensory development, health and safety information, daily living skills, social, and safety skills, and cultural/educational/academic learning opportunities. Is responsible for coordinating all services and supports identified in the consumers' IP; coordinate collaborate with CCB case managers.

Requirements

SKILLS EXPERIENCE (These are the education and experience requirements.)

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to handle frequent paperwork.

· Demonstrated understanding and ability to implement policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of college in a related field. Educational requirements may be waived for five years of experience in related field.
  • First Aid, CPR, and Medical Assistance Certification, Safety Care, valid Colorado Driver's license, and certificate of personal auto insurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Might be required to carry 50+ pounds. To push/pull 100+ pounds. Lift heavy objects. Stand 4+ hours per day.
