Job Type: Temporary, Hourly

Wage: $21.68/hr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

This position is dependent upon ongoing funding and is supported by a competitive grant, through September of 2027 with an option to apply for extension beyond September 30, 2027.  Position shall, under the direction of the JBBS Coordinator provide connection to treatment services to pretrial adults housed in the Fremont County Jail with substance use disorders or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Provides assistance in identifying members and family needs and gaps in service area as it relates to treatment options. Assists clients to meet service needs by helping to identify and resolve barriers to treatment. Coordinates with the medical contractor or staff for the continuation of treatment for individuals who are already engaged in MAT in the community, withdrawal management with opioid agonist medications, or induction onto medications for individuals at high risk of relapse upon release.  Provides assistance and information to incarcerated individuals from induction at time of incarceration, induction on day-of-release and referral services post release from incarceration.  Regularly communicates with medical staff, treatment providers and community resource partners. Addresses delicate issues or situations, assembles collaborative information and coordinates solutions to resolve or manage issues.  Ensures accessibility of external providers, or methods of access, to the incarcerated individuals for medication delivery and administration, or other required services.

Qualifications:

High School diploma and;  minimum of one (1) year of experience in records management, data entry, and 

maintaining and tracking confidential records.  

Additional Requirements:

Valid and current Colorado Driver’s License.  Must be able to pass a nationwide background check, including Fingerprints to CBI (criminal record) and Fingerprints to FBI (criminal record).
