Job Description:
Trinidad State College is seeking qualified applicants for a Robotics and Automation Instructor position at the Trinidad Campus located in Trinidad, Colorado. This is an adjunct, position that reports to the Dean of Instruction, Department Chair, and Vice President of Academic Affairs. The hourly pay rate is per credit hour.
Examples of Duties
The duties and responsibilities for the position are as follows:
- Teaches courses as assigned within faculty workload guidelines and meets all scheduled classes.
- Provides adequate preparation and development of material for both campus/online courses.
- Maintains program equipment, lab materials and supplies.
- Participates in marketing, recruitment, and retention activities.
- Maintains regularly scheduled office hours for consultation or advisement with students.
- Assists in the development and implementation of approved program curriculum and syllabi; participates in cooperative programming with colleagues.
- Assesses program and course-level student learning outcomes relative to industry demand and transfer. Participates in college-wide assessment of student learning activities and/or projects.
- Maintains credentialing requirements.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, or higher, in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Industrial Arts, or related subfield.
- Has, or qualifies for, postsecondary CTE credential including 4,000 non-teaching occupational hours (2,000 hours if at bachelor’s or higher) within the last 7 years*
- Field experience with any of the following disciplines: DC/AC Electricity, Industrial Wiring, Motors and Controls, PLCs, Robotics, Automation, Mechanical Drive Systems, Fluid Power, Printreading, Quality Control.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset regarding professional development
- Must be able to teach Robotics and Automation courses within the TSC Catalog
- Must be agreeable to working with a diverse population and with all ranges of student abilities
- Must have a strong commitment and positive attitude toward Community College instruction
