Job Description

Road and Bridge Department is accepting applications for several full-time Operator I positions. The Road & Bridge Operator operates trucks and other light and heavy equipment in the repair and maintenance of County roads and bridges. Must have high school diploma or GED, be at least age 18 and have a valid CDL Class B Operators license. Position requires CDOT drug screening, employee must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Work schedule is 4-10 hour days, Monday through Thursday. May need to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The employee may be assigned to report to either the Salida or Buena Vista location. With successful overall work performance and proficiency in Operator I responsibilities, the employee has the opportunity to progress to the Operator II position. This is a full time non exempt hourly position with a wage range of $21.95 to $26.88.
