ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures that patient care is being delivered in accordance with Physician’s orders and in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when necessary. Performs the duties required to keep one of the following areas current in all aspects. (Education, Infection Control, Risk Management, and Trauma Program)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Colorado License
Nursing degree, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; at least three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
State of Colorado Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending, as documented by temporary license.
Demonstrates leadership abilities
Capable of working under stressful situations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development.
Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in care for the specific age and type of patient population served.
Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current BCLS and ACLS are required
PALS and NPR preferred or obtain within six months
BLS required
