Job Description

Job Type: Seasonal Full time, Hourly

Wage: $17-$18.75/hr. 

Location: Leadville, CO.

Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities

  • Properly outfit guests with rental gear for skiing or snowboarding
  • Become certified to properly setup (“tech”) rental ski bindings for guest use
  • Perform routine maintenance on rental equipment fleet
  • Test rental fleet equipment to ensure industry standards as directed by Manager and Assistant Manager
  • Learn to tune Snowsports equipment and perform tuning on rental fleet as well as personal equipment
  • Look over and put away all returned rental equipment at the end of the day
  • Spray returned boots with boot-fresh
  • Maintain cleanliness of rental shop by sweeping/mopping floors; clean bathroom at least once per week
  • Aid Facilities Department by keeping Rental Shop entrances clear of snow/ice
  • Work overnight storage trailer when asked to do so
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to take direction and perform duties efficiently
  • Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • A professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills

Working conditions

The Rental Shop Technician position is based primarily inside, but may also be outside exposed to temperature extremes (above 85 degrees and below degrees), sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (10,500+ feet).

Physical requirements

Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift objects that may be heavy.
