MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Colorado License as a Registered Nurse
One-year acute care nursing experience
3 + years OR experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
Knowledge of AORNs Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices
BLS required upon hire
Current ACLS and PALS or obtained within three to six months of hire
Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
Must complete/maintain required annual competencies per hospital policy.
Is cognizant of and maintains appropriate standards of infection control, safety and quality in the provision of patient care.
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous movement throughout the hospital
Intermittent bending, kneeling, and squatting
Continuous standing (up to 7 hours)
Ability to lift 30% of body weight (up to 50lbs.)
Demonstrate emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
