JOB DESCRIPTION

Engineering Project Manager

The Project Engineer brings unique and interpersonal value to the Fading West organization by informing, educating, and problem solving directly with clients who are actively under contract with Fading West Building Systems to build homes. Being a Project Engineer means you will be the primary point of contact and company ambassador from the time a client signs a contract until the product ships to the customer (supporting the Client Relations team post shipment). The ideal candidate will have superb people skills, and a customer service mindset paired with a high level of organization and proactive work ethic.

• This position is an in-person role
• Must be competent and comfortable in computer skills and navigate modern technology often (Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, etc)
• This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement
• May require a reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
• May be regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

• RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage relationships with clients of Fading West who have purchased homes during the production process.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed such as project schedules, budget, and scope.
  • Ensuring all deliverables are accurate and on time to both external clients and Fading West.
  • Communicate product and process changes to clients on a regular basis.
  • Communicate product and process changes across internal departments as they arise and are needed.
  • Field customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team and all necessary departments inside the organization and outside the organization.
  • Ensure that clients receive the highest level of customer service throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Assist In measuring project performance through data management tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Project.
  • Report and escalate necessary situations to upper management when needed.
  • Assist In aligning customer expectations and company objectives.

  
  

  QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 or more years of project management or comparable experience
  • Engineering degree or construction experience a plus
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Exceptional Communication and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable
  • Eager to bring creativity to the team.
