Grateful Paws is a small business in beautiful Leadville, CO offering professional dog grooming, doggie daycare, and high quality/natural pet food and supplies. We are a fast-paced, team oriented, and engaging group to work with. Grateful Paws offers a variety of services for clients' dogs, cats and other pets. We are a business that prides itself on providing high-quality pet grooming, and we are seeking an individual who can help us continue to meet the needs of our customers. Grateful Paws' salon, grooms one dog at a time to create a stress free enviroment for each dog. We place a large emphasis on facilitating a positive experience for each dog, with an emphasis on humanity over vanity. The ideal candidate for our Pet Groomer position is someone who has excellent customer service skills, an ability to multi-task, and a passion for working with animals. This is a commission based job. Must be able to work at least one weekend day each week. Established clientele base with a current booking of 3-6 weeks out.

We have the availability of a professional groomer to also work retail hours at an hourly wage starting at $16.00/hour, if a candidate is interested. Working retail hours in the store is not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Be kind and compassionate to pets and their owners.
  • Use a grooming table.
  • Keeping the grooming area clean and tidy while grooming and at the end of each day.
  • Maintainng detailed records of each groom including but not limited to coat quality, groom, and dog's demeanor.
  • Practice good hygiene and wear appropriate grooming attire.
  • Excellent communication with fellow team members and clients.
  • 1 year of professional dog grooming experience preferred
