Job Description

SCHEDULE: Starting the week for February 1st, Fading West's Production schedule will be a 9,90 schedule. Meaning each weeks schedule will alternate between M-Th, 7:30AM - 05:30PM (40 hrs/week) and M-Fri, 7:30AM - 5:30PM (50 hours per week. Overtime paid at 1.5 rate) 

Production Specialists work on our factory line and are responsible for efficiently building quality modular homes. Tasks will vary, but all Production Specialists contribute to improving Fading West processes and products we deliver. Employees in this role will have the opportunity for factory cross-training, skills and process training, factory process development, and task diversification. All tasks completed, no matter how big or small, contribute to our mission of providing high-quality homes to the individuals and families living in them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

All construction trades will be used throughout the production process to complete modular homes. Production Specialists will contribute to the production line in one or several of the following areas:

  • Framing
  • Equipment operation
  • Materials receiving, staging, and prepping
  • Drywall
  • Painting
  • Plumbing
  • Electric
  • Carpentry
  • Interior Finish (Flooring, interior doors, trim, cabinetry, etc.)
  • Exterior Finish (Sheathing, windows, doors, siding, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Adaptable/Flexible - job requires being open to change and variety in the workplace
  • Able to learn and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable communicating and providing information to supervisors, peers, or subordinates and receiving direction and feedback throughout the project
  • Able to comply with standards - using individual judgment and communicating with managers to determine whether events or processes comply with regulations or standards
  • Dependable - job requires being reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligations
  • Attentive to Detail - job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Cooperative - job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude

REQUIREMENTS

  • In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
  • This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-compete and non-disclosure agreement
  • Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
  • Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
  • May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology

Hourly Rate Range:

  • $20.00 to $26.00 per/hour (Rate commensurate with experience)
  • $3,000 Sign-On bonus for new full-time Production Specialists, $500 at 30 days, $1000 at 90 days, $1500 at 180 days.
  • Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
