As the Production Books Manager, you’ll be part of that mission by leading the process that turns donated books and media into clean, organized, high-quality inventory ready for resale.

This role is a great fit for someone who values structure and consistency, takes pride in high standards, and enjoys working with purpose behind the scenes. Your work ensures that every item we place on the shelf reflects care, order, and dignity.

Key Result Areas

Sorting and Cleaning

  • Sort incoming book and media donations by category, quality, and resale value
  • Recycle items that do not meet our standards for sale
  • Clean and dust books using approved tools and methods
  • Remove stickers, markings, or damaged covers when appropriate

Pricing and Product Flow

  • Accurately price books based on established guidelines and category criteria
  • Organize priced inventory into bins or carts for transfer to the retail team
  • Maintain consistent product flow to meet retail demand

Work Area Management

  • Keep the books processing area clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in regular workspace cleaning
  • Notify supervisor of tool malfunctions, safety concerns, or workflow barriers

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with other team members and leadership
  • Support other production departments as needed based on team priorities
  • Demonstrate consistency, reliability, and a positive work ethic
