Position Summary:

The Product Manager, Pricing Service develops strategy and guides execution of price management enhancements for products and services available through our global marketplace. Working closely with other Product Managers, Engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders, you will develop and own a roadmap that delivers value for customers and the business. Using techniques such as design thinking, user testing, and experimentation, you’ll generate insights to deeply understand our price management system. Armed with these insights, you’ll enhance the pricing service to provide improved accuracy, clarity, and process efficiency to benefit customers and internal stakeholders. You’ll create complex but clear product artifacts, iterate on product processes, and drive implementation.

Essential Responsibilities:

Own and drive strategy for our Pricing Service and related processes, and collaborate with adjacent product areas that interact with this core service.

  • Apply design and product thinking to this product area to improve uniformity, modularity, observability, and process efficiency.
  • Be a subject matter expert in the cloud marketplace space developing an understanding of how our MSP Partners and downstream customers across the globe expect to see and set pricing for the products in our marketplace
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders across the org to plan the right product improvements at the right time to meet a demonstrated customer or business need
  • Communicate product strategy; collaborate with software development teams and other Product Managers to help them understand the strategy to drive effective execution and value delivery
  • Prioritize work streams and guide execution to maximize our growth, speed-to-market, and value. Ideate, user test, write clear stories, refine, solve problems, perform UAT, understand your product through data, and iterate
  • Lead some Agile ceremonies where appropriate in collaboration with Engineering teams to ensure shared understanding of problems and solutions; track progress against stated business objectives
  • Make data-driven product decisions using KPIs, success metrics, SLOs, and other tools for insight
  • Work closely with UX to generate insights from qualitative and quantitative data about users and features

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least four (4) years of experience in product management or an equivalent role
  • In depth understanding of cloud marketplace tiered pricing models, currency exchange, ordering, and subscription management processes is a HUGE plus
  • Basic understanding of how API-based software services are structured and implemented
  • Experience working with software development teams
  • Scrupulous about value for the business; ability to articulate how and why a feature is expected to impact business objectives and what potential ROI may be
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills
  • Ability to work with some autonomy and minimal guidance with a bias-to-action
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem-solve with diverse people in different parts of the organization
  • Ability to ask insightful questions, push on assumptions, and be detail oriented
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Data-driven by nature, but comfortable making decisions when you have none
  • Track record of defining and delivering enhancements that drive outcomes
  • Keen design sense and strong empathy with our customers and vendors

Required Education & Certifications:

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $94,000 or more depending on experience 

*Note:* Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
