Summary:

This position is dependent upon ongoing State of Colorado funding and is supported by a competitive grant, through June of 2026 with an option to apply for extension beyond June 2026.  The coordinator will be responsible for the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) and Opioid Settlement Fund programs in Fremont County.  Administers the county-level grant work by ensuring execution of deliverables, budget, required reporting to inform their work and ensure compliance with funder requirements. Responsible for leading and performing substance abuse and misuse education and prevention efforts by implementing evidence-based strategies, provide education, build awareness around substance-related health disparities. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing programs for effective utilization of settlement funds to support opioid abuse, prevention, treatment, or recovery. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in public health field, health education, community health or three (3) years of experience in a public health, prevention work, grant project management, community outreach or related field; or a combination of education and experience.  

Additional Requirements:

Valid and current Colorado Driver’s License.
