Position Type: Full-time, 162 days per year during a full school year
Location: McKinley Elementary School
Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the Instructional Support Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education, $17.34-18.38 per hour/minimum pay, $50.00 a day extra if assigned as a certified substitute teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Proficiency on paraprofessional assessment, possess an AA Degree, or the equivalency of two years of undergraduate college classes (approximately 48 hours) preferred.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Required to complete all necessary preschool training upon hire.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
- Ability to read, write and speak in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
- Experience in Lindamood Bell preferred.
- MANDT Training to be completed upon hire.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical.
- Must be willing to obtain if needed a substitute teaching license. (paid for by district).
POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Demonstrate reliability in all work situations.
- Present a professional appearance personally and in the work area.
- Promote and maintain positive working relationships with peers, students, parents and the public.
- Be knowledgeable about the job.
- Always strive to stay on task and produce high quality work.
- Under the direction of the supervising teacher, implement schedules and routines, work 1-to-1, in small groups or in full classroom settings.
- Complete and perform clerical tasks, and support school-wide and classroom management plans.
- Meet the educational, physical and emotional needs of a variety of students assigned.
- Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements.
- Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.
- May include outside supervision in inclement weather.
- Assist with supervisory, clerical or other job-related duties as assigned.
- Adhere to district classified handbook and school staff handbook.
- May be asked to sub in classrooms when needed.
