Position: PK–8 Spanish Instructor
Schedule: 2 days per week, 9 hours per day (18 hours weekly plus special events)
Location: Mountain View Core Knowledge School, Canon City, Colorado
Start Date: July 30,2026

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Instructor to join our PK–8 team. In this role, you will cultivate students’ language skills and cultural awareness through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. The ideal candidate is passionate about language education, skilled in working with diverse learners, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Spanish language instruction to students in grades PK–8, aligned with state and district standards.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Incorporate cultural elements to enhance students’ understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and traditions.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to support growth and proficiency.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate language learning across the curriculum.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in Spanish or World Languages (or ability to obtain).
• Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying skill levels.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
• Experience in immersion or dual-language programs.
• Familiarity with Colorado Academic Standards for World Languages.
• Experience integrating technology into language instruction.
