Job Description

Job Type: Seasonal, Hourly

Wage: $15.hr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

Echo Canyon is now hiring motivated individuals with photography skills or those interested in learning photography skills for a summer seasonal river photographer job. The job begins mid to late May and extends through the summer season. You’ll be using Echo Canyon digital SLR cameras, and driving Echo vehicles to river locations where you will photograph rafts floating through the rapids. Applicants must have a good driving record, should be self-motivated and have a great appreciation for the tourism industry.

Photographer Job Requirements:

  • Ability to be consistently display friendly, courteous, and professional interactions with guests and staff Ability to project a professional image
  • Capable of working in a team setting
  • Must be flexible working days, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation to Echo Canyon
  • Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record for driving Echo Canyon vehicles
  • Must be capable of hiking up to 3 miles per day and capable of navigating steep trails to access photography locations

Physical Requirements to Perform Job Duties

  • Ability to stand and walk on paved and unpaved surfaces, single track trails, in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, and squat, repetitively
  • Extensive use of fingers and hands to perform photography and computer tasks
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily
  • The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions: Adverse conditions may include extreme heat and/or cold, wind, and sometimes inclement weather
