Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Part time, Salaried

Wage: $30,788 - $54,000/yr.  

Location: Buena Vista, CO.

Job Description:

```Duties```

- Perform grooming services on a variety of pets, including dogs and cats

- Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur according to client specifications

- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment

- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trims and ear cleaning

- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process

- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests

- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area

- Animal handling: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures

- Pet grooming: Proficient in various grooming techniques, including breed-specific cuts and styles

- Kennel: Knowledge of kennel operations, including feeding, exercise, and cleaning

- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry pets or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

- Veterinary assistant: Familiarity with basic veterinary procedures and terminology

- Dog handling: Skill in managing dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and breeds

- Customer service: Excellent interpersonal skills to provide a positive experience for pet owners

- Animal care: Understanding of animal behavior, health, and nutrition

- Pet sitting: Knowledge of pet care routines, including feeding, exercise, and medication administration

Note: Prior experience as a professional pet groomer is preferred. Training may be provided for candidates with transferable skills such as veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
