Job Description:

Sunrise Counseling and Wellness is growing and would love to add some additional peer recovery specialists to the team. Sunrise Counseling and Wellness is an outpatient substance abuse treatment program along with a recovery support program which includes peer recovery specialists.

Sunrise Counseling and Wellness is searching for motivated and compassionate professionals who are interested in providing peer recovery services to members of the community. A recovery peer support specialist provides a variety of recovery –oriented services to individuals who have self-identified as needing recovery support and/or are referred as part of a larger system of care.

Recovery Specialist

Duties:
- Conduct motivational interviewing sessions with individuals seeking recovery from substance abuse
- Provide support and guidance to individuals throughout their recovery journey
- Collaborate with treatment team members to develop individualized recovery plans
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and support systems
- Monitor progress and provide ongoing assessment of recovery goals
- Document all interactions and maintain accurate records

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with individuals in recovery
- Understanding of addiction and the recovery process
- Familiarity with community resources for individuals in recovery

We are seeking a dedicated Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery from substance abuse. You will utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage individuals, assess their needs, and develop personalized recovery plans. Your compassion, empathy, and knowledge of addiction will be essential in helping individuals achieve their goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, A person in recovery with lived experiences, CCAR training or willing to engage in training
