Job Type: Part time, Hourly

Wage: $11.66/hr.

Location: Montrose, CO.

Job Description:

 Must obtain TIPS Certification training within 30 days. The cost of training will be reimbursed once successfully completed.  Training will be on the employee's own time.

Basic Purpose of the Job:
Under general direction, the Bartender will take and make alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink orders. As the face of our Pavilion incumbent is responsible for our customer's positive experiences. Incumbent must be quick to serve and have a polite and friendly attitude.

Essential Duties:

  1. Provides outstanding customer service to Pavilion users.  Answers requests for service in a timely and courteous manner and responds to the needs of customers drink requests.  
  2. Prepares standard mixed drinks and pours wine and beer. 
  3. Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
  4. Takes payment for drinks and returns correct change.
  5. Cleans and maintains bar and equipment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Requires ability to stand for long periods of time. Moderate physical work requiring ability to frequently lift 20 pounds; frequent carrying, walking and standing; frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications with employees and citizens; hand/eye coordination Frequent exposure to chemical-based cleaning products including bleach. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.

Job Requirement:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • One to two years of experience as a cashier, server preferred. 
  • Must have patience and customer-oriented approach and excellent people skills with a friendly smile.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak season.
Licensures & Certificates (must be active and current.)
  • Valid Colorado driver's license with acceptable driving record.

$11.66/hour plus tips.
