The Town of Buena Vista Police Department is Hiring!

The Town of Buena Vista is a close-knit community surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the state. We have a dedicated team of officers that serves our active community, including specialized positions such as investigations, CSI, SRO, combined tactical team, combined drug unit, and K9. Requirements

The Town of Buena Vista is an equal opportunity employer, and all levels of experience are welcome to apply. Colorado P.O.S.T. certification is preferred. Applicants must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license, be at least 21 years of age, pass a written test, oral board, background investigation, psychological evaluation, medical exam, drug screen, must be physically fit for the performance of police duties, and must be a credible team player and follow our policies and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Beginning salary range for a full-time police officer is $65,042 - $71,698 depending on experience. The Town of Buena Vista offers a comprehensive benefit package for the police officer position (retirement and medical, with additional options for dental and vision).
