ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greets guests in timely and friendly manner. Oversees lobby areas explaining wait times and offering assistance. Obtains information from patients (or representatives) that is complete and accurate. Explains processes and forms as required for type of service. Obtains signatures and communicates to department staff for follow up in finalizing all registrations. Verifies patient insurance, checks registration orders for consistency and follows up with physician’s office for clarity. Escorts patients to destination. Complies with all organizational policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
Previous experience preferred
Experience in Customer Service
Basic computer skills required
Complete skills competency test with minimum test score of 75%.
Previous experience in patient registration preferred
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and understand Basic English
Ability to lift 30% of your body weight.
Continuous movement throughout the hospital
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with all persons in a professional manner in stressful situations.
Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature and to remain calm in crisis situations.
