Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Overnight Cleaning & Maintenance Technician at the Surf Hotel. This position would be four - ten hour shifts from 10pm to 8am.
Responsibilities:
- Clean ground floor.
- Maintain pool during non-operating hours.
- Respond to work orders as needed, addressing issues in a quick and professional manner. Troubleshoot and repair where possible.
- Examples of work orders: descaling ice machines, unclogging toilets, changing smoke detector batteries, servicing appliances, servicing heating and cooling units, servicing hot water heaters, touch up painting, maintaining washer and dryer units.
- Comply with all relevant safety and health codes.
- Interact in a clear and positive manner with staff and guests.
- Misc. grounds keeping as needed, such as snow removal, ice mitigation, firewood management, trash and recycling area management, leaf removal, misc cleaning, etc.
- Help set up for concerts and weddings setting up tables, tents, chairs, bistro tables, & the stage (if needed), taking down the arbor, putting away leftover chairs etc.
- Operate the front desk to help Night Auditor when needed - may need to cover position from time to time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Ability to work with little supervision at times and maintain a high level of performance.
- Well organized.
- Experience painting preferred.
- Experience repairing and troubleshooting mechanical systems is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Needs to be prompt and reliable
Compensation:
- $23 to $25 per hour depending on experience
