Wage: $95,000-$125,320/yr.

Location: Leadville, CO.

Job Description:

The Outpatient Nursing Manager oversees outpatient procedures including scheduling, medication administration and diagnostic testing at both the main hospital and the Rural Health Clinic of St Vincent Health. The scope of this position will include but is not limited to wound care, central line care, administering intravenous medications, wound care, therapeutic phlebotomies, EKGs. They are responsible for coordination of care between physicians and patients, such as obtaining initial or appropriate orders. The Outpatient Nurse Manager will be involved in maintaining the highest level of patient care, improving patient satisfaction, and the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate care

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the outpatient nursing department
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Working with patients on any outpatient testing that needs to be performed.
  • Complete infusions, wound care, EKGs, stress testing, port access, and other clinical procedures within the RN scope
  • Work with the inpatient unit staff for wound care needs on the unit
  • Monitor and maintain inventory for nursing supplies for the department
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPPA guidelines
  • Playing a vital role in patient care by providing patient safety, quality of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Communicating with providers, nurse leadership and administration on concerns and improvements
  • Work with Chief Nursing Officer and finance department to manage and create budget for the department.
  • Ensuring that patient records are accurate, and documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Addressing any patient complaints and working with quality department to get resolution with complaints.
  • Maintain schedule for the outpatient department.
  • Manage staff and training within the department

  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle high stress situations effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze them thoroughly, and develop effective solutions.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a nursing management role or similar position within a healthcare setting.
  • 2 years of experience of wound care experience
  • 5 year’s experience in clinical setting either inpatient or outpatient setting

License/Certifcations

  • BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
  • Active Registered Nurse License in Colorado
  • Wound care certification preferred (CWCN, CWS, CWCA, WCC)

Expected hours: 40 per week
