Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $20-$26/hr. 

Location: Buena Vista, CO.

Job Description:

The Optimizing Saw Production Specialist works in our factory mill where all sub-assemblies and pre-work is completed and delivered to our production line. This role is particularly essential to us building homes efficiently because it supplies all framing tables for floors, walls, and ceilings/roofs with accurately cut lumber packets for each model that they may be building. The individual in this role will be the subject matter expert in running our optimizing saw and drive this team to efficiently supply lumber to all necessary locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritize demands of several framing tables that are needing supplies of lumber.
  • Ensure accurate cutting of all lumber using optimizing saw technology.
  • Ensure accurate organization and Load and program correct documents into optimizing saw for efficient cutting. Interpret shop drawings and plans to ensure accuracy of all specifications needed.
  • Drive small team of production specialists to keep up with demands of production velocity.
  • Ensure organization and cleanliness of designated area of the Mill.
  • Actively find solutions to issues that may arise and coordinate with Area Manager(s), drafting team, and various framing table personnel to find solutions.
  • Aid in other areas of the facility as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
  • This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-compete and non-disclosure agreement.
  • Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
  • May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift, or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Must be competent and comfortable with relatively advanced computer skills and navigating modern technology.

COMPENSATION

Hourly Rate Range: $20.00 to $26.00 per/hour (Rate commensurate with experience). Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
