What is an Optical Associate?
- Assists patients and customers in the selection, measurement and fitting of eyewear that best suits all of their visual and fashion needs.
- Lean how to read prescriptions, make recommendations on lenses based on their lifestyle and needs
- Bill insurances, collect payments and process optical orders
- Learn from peers and department supervisors to eventually become an ABO Certified Optician
To be successful you must be:
- Customer service oriented patient focused
- Able to work well with people and be practice patience
- Comfortable with performing basic math in whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Have an eye for detail and fashion
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good with your hands and handling small instruments
- Eager to learn
