Job Description:
Occupational Therapist- part-time positions are currently available. Working in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 24 hours a week will have the following benefits:

Requirements
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) for occupational therapists, Registered
Licensed and registered as an Occupational Therapist
Doctorate in occupational therapy, preferred
AHA BLS, required
ACLS, preferred
Intermediate computer skills
Time management
Excellent communication skills
Intermediate writing skills
Occupational Therapists provide comprehensive occupational therapy and treatment to infants and adults. Within the scope, the treatment is for injured, ill, or disabled patients. Helping the patient develop, recover, and improve skills needed for daily living. An Occupational Therapist will implement treatment programs to assist patients with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social/emotional disabilities or delays.
Evaluate a patient upon initial encounter to determine the need for occupational therapy intervention.
Observe patients doing tasks and review their medical history.
Plan occupational therapy treatment program for each patient, based upon interpretation of evaluation results; interpret evaluation finding for patient, family, and treatment team members.
Develop realistic goals with the patients' and/or families' input; explain the treatment plan and goals to the patients and/or families.
Communicate effectively with physicians and other care team members as indicated regarding the treatment plan and the patient's response to it.
Evaluate, record, and report on a patient's progress for review by other care team members.
Educate patient and/or family on exercise or accommodation needed for care.
Recommend that special equipment be provided for the care of the patient.
Assesses ongoing effectiveness of treatment and modifies plan of care as indicated.
Anticipate working in inpatient and outpatient settings, with many patient conditions and ages varying from 0-100.
Listen attentively to what the patient tells them and be able to explain what is required for the patient to do.
Supervise activities for the swing bed program.
