Job Description

Position:

  • Dishwasher (4 hours)
  • Dishwasher (3.5 hours)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to the Kitchen Manager
  • Will be responsible for all aspects of dishwashing operations keeping within sanitation guidelines
  • Be able to work at a moderately quick pace
  • Service of food in the cafeteria
  • Assists with cleaning dishwashing during service breaks
  • Perform daily clean-up to include sweeping, mopping, wiping down counters, carts, cleaning sinks, and washing dishes
  • Perform assigned responsibilities quickly in order to assist in other kitchen tasks when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred experience/knowledge/ability:

 Possess a standard knowledge of kitchen operation.

 Possess knowledge of common health safety procedures.

 Possess knowledge of chemical cleaners and their proper usage.

 Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. However, while lifting amounts above 25 pounds a partner must be used. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
