Job Description:

Fremont County Head Start is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Service Manager to lead dietary operations within our preschool environment. This role combines management expertise with a passion for health and wellness, coordinating dietary services for children ages 3–5 and ensuring every child receives the nutritional support they need each day.

Duties:

  • Manage daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Supervise and mentor dietary staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement special diet plans that incorporate child assessments, nutrition goals, and specialized diets such as allergies, religious needs, and health care plans.
  • Oversee meal planning and preparation to meet nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of special diet plans, dietary records, and budget reports in compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of children’s nutrition protocols.
  • Proven supervisory experience within dietary or healthcare settings, especially in managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge in managing budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation for dietary departments.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
