Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $17/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

It is the duty of our drivers at MedRide, LLC to be compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible individuals. Our drivers are required getting clients with mobility challenges to their destinations safely and on time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Show up to work in a timely manner
  • Take work orders from dispatcher for client trip
  • Drive clients to their destinations on time
  • Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle
  • Report back to the dispatcher when clients have been dropped off at their destination
  • Communicate any traffic delays on route back to dispatcher
  • Make notes of incidents or accidents and report those to the dispatcher
  • Operate wheelchair lifts as needed
  • Adhere to company policies and protocol

Qualifications

  • Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner
  • Show Empathy, Compassion passionate about helping people
  • Be at least 26 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Driving License (for at least years)
  • Have a clean driving record with no points
  • A good working knowledge of the metro-Pueblo area is a plus

Education

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • At least two (2) years related experience and execution of similar duties in non-emergency medical transport is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting in vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
